Shakti Sankalp safar Public Image Initiative

Shakti Sankalp safar

Rtn Pappu ram Choudhary fron RC Nagaur ,Rajasthan and founder of the Oxyhunger Foundation visited Nagaon on 12th june . He is currently on a 60000 km nationwide solo cyclling expedition titled Shakti Sankalp Safar to promote Environmental sustainablity, a drug free India and healthyb lifestyle. Having successfully covered 42000+ km across 27 states, he has reached Assam. It was a great honor and priviledge for us to connect with him. He was invited to Bharati Vidyapith where he addressed the students and spoke about his mission. He was felicitated there. Later at another event he was again felictated in the presence of honourqble MLA Shri Rupak Sharma.

ROTARY UPAVAN

On the occasion of World environment Day an afforestation project was undertaken by RC Nagaon in association with Nagaon Medical College with the theme, plant a tree , nurture a future. The aim of the project was to contribute towards preserving nature and leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. Along with the club members the event witnessed the participant of the students and staff of the medical college.50 Plants were planted in various area of the college campus.

Jal Jeevan

On 15th May RC Nagaon installed water filter at Vivekananda School. A shed was build and a water filter and 4 taps were installed . Along with it a cooling water dispenser unit was also installed. The project was funded from the district Grants received. Rtn Joon Rajkhowa, charter secretary of Rc Nagaon, encouraged the students to join interact club and discussed in details about the vision of Rotary . principal of the school, various teachers and students of the student council were present at the time of inaguration and the ribbon was cut by the students of the school.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

A Blood Donation Camp was organised by RC Nagaon in association with Hotel Rishiraj with the objective of promoting voluntary blood donation and humanitarian service. The camp was inaugurated by Mrs Nabanita Sharma, in presence of club members ,hotel staff and medical personnel.The camp was conducted by the medical team of BPCH, Nagaon under the leadership of Dr Bini Bora, In-Charge Blood Centre and Mr Riku Dutta, Counsellor at Blood Centre. President of RC Nagaon Rtn Aman Dassani and Mr Neeraj Sharma , the owner of the hotel were among the first donors, setting an inspiring example for others. The staff members also greatly contributed in this noble cause. ORS , fruits and refreshments were distributed among the donors as a token of appreciation and care. The secretary of the club Rtn Mamta Agarwal expressed gratitude to all donors, medical teams, volunteers and Hotel Rishiraj for their wholehearted cooperation in making the camp successful.

Paw Fest

RC Nagaon in association with Pet Paradise and the NGO HOPE:IS:ON and Nagaon municipal Board organised a vibrant and well attended show for dogs , bringing together pet lovers, owners and animal welfare enthusiasts from across the area.The competition features four categories of dogs- Large , Small, Indie and Rescued with participation of over 40 pet owners. A cash amount of Rs 5000, 3000 and 1000 was given to winners in each category. The event was judged on various aspects including appearance ,obedience, agility and overall presentation. There was a free vaccination booth and also dog food booth where pet owners were provided with essential vaccination services and food and also guidance on maintaining the health and welbeing of their pets. The event concluded successfully with active participation, positive feedback and a strong message promoting compassion and care for animals.

On the occassion of International Women Day on 8th March 2026, RC Nagaon organised a free Dental checkup Camp at Mercy Hospitals with Mercy hospital as co hosts .The chief guest of the programme was Sri Devashish Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Nagaon . The event was successfully held under the chairmanship of Rtn Gunja kothari. A total of 47 patients were provided with free dental tests. They were prescibed necessary treatments and medicines and along with this whey were given oral health advice and hygiene tips

On the occassion of International Women Day on 8th March 2026, RC Nagaon organised a free Mammography screening Camp at Mercy Hospitals.The chief guest of the programme was Sri Devashish Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Nagaon who himself works for cancer awareness, prevention and treatment and is a member of Deepshikha Foundation who was the co host of the event. The event was successfully held under the chairmanship of Rtn Gunja kothari. A total of 20 ladies over the age 40 years availed the free mammography test. Shri Sharma addressed the gathering and explained the need of mammography and its importance in early detection and prevention of breast cancer.

The Rotary Club of Nagaon, in association with Shri Shirdi Saibaba Sewa Trust Nagaon, successfully organized a One-Day Awareness-cum-Assessment Camp for Persons with Disabilities on 27 February 2026 at Shri Shirdi Saibaba Mandir, Bhimargaon, Nagaon. The camp began at 9:30 AM and offered free medical check-ups by specialist doctors, disability assessments, counseling, and guidance. Aids and appliances were distributed to eligible beneficiaries, and refreshments were provided to all attendees. Open to all age groups, the initiative aimed to promote inclusion, early identification, and access to support services. The Rotary Club of Nagaon has upgraded its ambulance into a fuly equipped Mobile ICU, strengthening emergency medical support in the region. The newly converted unit is fitted with advanced life saving equipment, including a ventilator, cardiac monitor, defibrilator, oxygen support, suction apparatus, and essential emergency medicines. This initiative aims to provide critical care during patient transport, ensuring timely and effective treatment before reaching the hospital. With this upgrade, the club reinforces its commitment to community health and emergency preparedness. The Mobile ICU wil serve patients across Nagaon and nearby areas, offering reliable and immediate medical assistance when it is needed most.

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, the RC Nagaon organized an HPV Vaccination Drive on 4th February at Mercy Hospital, Nagaon, reinforcing its commitment to preventive healthcare and community well-being. With the message “Protect today. Prevent tomorrow.” the drive encouraged families to take proactive steps toward safeguarding the health of young girls. A total of 10 girls were vaccinated during the camp under proper medical supervision, following all safety protocols. The smooth coordination between healthcare professionals and Rotary members ensured the program was conducted efficiently and responsibly. Republic day food donation drive

On the occasion of Indias 77th Republic Day , Rotary club of Nagaon organised a food donation drive at Nagaon Sports Association. The main parade in Nagaon Town is held here and we were requested by the district administration to provide light refreshments, fruits ,water bottles ,soft drinks etc at Nurul Amin Stadium for medical staff, cultural teams and media personnel. The members also with their kids enjoyed the parade and distributed the prepacked packets among the hungry and thirsty participants who had been there since early morning.

ROTARY PREIMERE LEAGUE 1.0

RC Nagaon successfully organised the Rotary Premier League 1.0, marking the first-ever Rotary-led box cricket league in Nagaon. The 3 day tournament was held from 26-28 th dec 2025. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation, strong spectator turnout, and highly competitive cricket. The league aimed to promote fellowship, sportsmanship, and community engagement through sport. After a series of thrilling matches, Seven Brothers emerged as the Champions of RPL1.0 and Yashoo Riders finished as the Runners-Up. The event was held under the leadership of Rtn Birendra Jain ,Assistant Governor, Rtn Aman Dassani, President, and Rtn Mamta Agarwal, Secretary. The successful execution of Rotary Premier League 1.0 was driven by the Organising Committee led by Rtn Vikas Surana, Chairperson, and Rtn Adarsh Singhi.The memmbers took active participation and showed full enthusiasm.The league received strong support from its title sponsors Achyut and other sponsors as well.

RC Nagaon came up with Project Rahaat – Cloth Donation Drive, an initiative aimed at protecting the underprivileged from the harsh cold. The drive focused on collecting and distributing warm clothes to those most vulnerable during the winter months. Members of the club actively mobilized the community to donate usable winter clothing, including sweaters, shawls, caps, and mufflers. These contributions were carefully sorted and distributed among economically weaker sections mostly children and old people across different areas of Nagaon.The Rahaat initiative reflected the belief that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. The smiling faces and heartfelt gratitude of the beneficiaries reinforced the purpose of the drive and motivated the Rotarians to continue such humanitarian efforts. RC Nagaon expressed sincere thanks to all donors and volunteers who supported the initiative and contributed generously.

The Rotary Club of Nagaon conducted Annapurna Food Distribution, reaffirming its commitment to service and compassion. Nutritious meals were distributed to the students of underprivileged schools, spreading warmth and hope. Through this initiative, Rotary continued its mission of addressing hunger and supporting the community with dignity and care. Healthy and nutritious lunch was prepared at the venue itself and was served with much love and compassion by the members themselves to each student personally paying full attention to the eating manners as well. RC Nagaon succes fully completed 5-DayAcupressure Chiropathy Treatment Camp, held in association with the Terapanth Mahila Mandal Nagaon from November 17th to 21st, 2025.The camp witnessed an overwhelming turnout from the community. Under the expert guidance of Dr. Ravinder Bishnoi (MD in Acu) and Th. Kailash Kumar (MD in Chiropathy), countless attendees received specialized holistic treatments, including Acupressure, Chiropathy, and Fire Cupping, aimed atalleviating chronic pain and promoting overall well-being.This initiative truly embodied the spirit of Service Above Self, making advanced wellnesstherapies accessible to the public for a nominal fee. The camp, held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., witnessed enthusiastic participation from bank staff, Rotarians, and members of the public. RC NAGAON has recently adopted a children play area in the Stepping Stones School. As a part of the project ,the whole area was levelled and carpeted by artfiicial green grass carpet, which has made the surface not only safe from injuries and insects but also quite maintainence free. Thereafter an iron See-Saw and a Merry-go-Round were were permanently installed. The project was specially supported and co-funded by Rtn Mamta Agarwal and Rtn Nina Surana. Rtn Joon Rajkhowa got to know about his visit and in a short duration organised a programme to meet and greet him. President Rtn Aman Dassani and some other members reached the venue at Aditya Street Food and felicitated him with a momento and phulam gamocha with Rotary name and Logo weaved into it. Rotary Club Of Nagaon has created history by securing a state record in the Assam Book Of Records for successfu;;y organising one of the largest drawing contests in the state TAARE ZAMEEN PE 3.0 The event was a part of 79th independence day celebrations. A total of 1670 students from class 1-12 showcased their talent and creativity , divided into 3 categories. The Assam book of Records lauded RC Nagaon for providing an inspiring platform that encouraged young minds to express their artistic skills and patriotic spirit. The event was successful under the able leadership of project chair Rtn Amit More, President RTN Aman Dassani, Secretart Rtn Mamta Agarwal and all club members whose collective dedicated efforts made this event a grand success.This milestone strengthens Rotarys mision of empowering youth and building a vibrant , engaged community.

On the occassion of Independence Day RC Nagaon conducted its Flag hoisting ceremony at G D Public School. In the presence of several club members, school students, teachers and school administration a simple ceremony was held. President Rtn Aman Dassani hoisted the flag, everyone sang the National Anthem, Rtn Amit More addressed the gathering and some little children also gave their speech about the significance of he day. After that a fancy dress show was organised among the school students on the theme of Unity in Diversity. The children participated with great enthusiasm . This show was basically to make the kids understand the concept of brotherhood and living together with other fellow counrtymen with love and harmony. The programme ended with distribution of sweets and snacks among the children and everyone else present there.

FOOD PACKET DISTRIBUTION

Every year on the occasion of Independence Day and Republic Day , RC Nagaon organises a food packet distribution programme. This year it was held at BP Civil Hospital Nagaon. Around 100 food packets were distributed among patients admitted across various wards. The packets contained a fruit and some dry food and snacks items.The members were greeted well by the hospital authorities and they accompanied the members to various departments and also assisted them in packets distribution. The project was conducted smoothly under the chairmanship of Rtn Amit Soni, along with the President Rtn Aman Dassani, Secretary Rtn Mamta Agarwal and other members.

RC NAGAON today organised a blood grouping camp in association with North East Blood Centre and Research Centre. The camp was organised at Bharti Vidyapith Senior Secondary School, under the chairmanship of Rtn Amit More. A large number of students and teachers participated in the camp .The purpose of the camp was to create awareness about blood donation. The students got to know their blood group and in return we got a data base and a handy list of new donors,the details of which were shared with hospitals and got into government records . A total of 110 were benefited by it.

Rotary Club Nagaon on 8th August, celebrated Rakhi with the CRPF brothers.Its an annual program of the club named *Rakhi with Khakee* , here the club members visit the CRPF Battalion Camp at Nagaon. The female members tied rakhi on the wrists of the soldiers and the other members cheered them. the members also put tilak on their forehead, honouring the soldiers as our real saviours .The soldiers were provided with sweets and snacks. The soldiers were overwhelmed with this move and greatly appreciated the gesture.

WAITING SHED INAUGURATION

RC Nagaon inaugurated a newly constructed public waiting shed , marking a step forward in its mission to serve the community through sustainable infrastructure initiatives. The entire waiting shed was generously donated by AG Rtn Birendra Jain , in loving memory of his late grandfather , Shri Jaichandlalji Kuhar Jain. The shed was graciously inaugurated by Sjt. Rupak Sharmah, honorable MLA of Nagaon Batradava. the event was graced by the presence of Smt. Ambika Mazumdar , chairman NMB, Sri Srimanta Borah Vice chairman, NMB, and several local leaders, Rotary members and community residents. During his visit early this month PRID Manoj Desai also paid a visit at the project site. The project reflects Rotary"s motto "service above self ", and reaffirms its commitment to creating lasting impacts in society.

MEGA HEALTH CHECKUP CAMP

On 27th july 2025,Sunday, RC Nagaon organised a free mega health checkup camp at the 9th Assam police battalion ground Barhampur. This camp was organized in association with BDG Ramesh Goyal Seva Sansthan. The various medical facilities provided were eye, dental, ENT, x-ray, ECG ,pathology and genral OPD. There was a dedicated team of doctors who did all checkups in a bus which was fully equipped with all facilities. A total number of 243 patients were benefited. The patients were also provided with spectacles and medicines. Blood tests and ECG were also conducted on several patients.The efforts and project of RC Nagaon was greatly appreciated by the local public and the Commander of 9th APBN Mr Mukul Rabha, Assistant commander and other officials of the battalion who were present all the time and extended all possible help.
